Here are some guidelines to follow ahead of the procedure:

  • Avoid tanning for 3-4 weeks before treatment and use SPF 30 or higher sunblock if you spend time outdoors.

  • Avoid topical irritant agents for 2-3 days before treatment.

  • Avoid anticoagulants for 7-10 days prior to treatment, if medically permitted by your physician.
     
  • On the day of treatment, avoid wearing lotion, perfume, or makeup in the treatment area and choose comfy clothes that allow easy access to the treatment areas.

Step-by-Step Guide:

  • Glasses will be provided for eye protection.

  • Cooling gel will be applied to your skin.

  • The Vasculaze handpiece will be placed directly on the skin over the targeted vein, emitting pulses of light. You may experience a light snapping feeling on your skin.

  • The Vasculaze handpiece is moved across the treatment area to ensure all visible veins are treated. 

  • Each session takes about 10-30 minutes, depending on the size and number of treated areas.

There is no downtime after your Vasculaze treatment. Most patients can return to their normal activities immediately after treatment. 

You may experience mild redness or a warming sensation in the treated area, which usually subsides within a few hours. 

To ensure best results:

  • Avoid sun exposure and continue applying sunscreen to protect the treated area for 3-4 weeks as it heals. 

  • Avoid stimulating blood flow by aerobic exercise, hot baths, or rubbing the treated areas.

  • Apply a gentle moisturizer to keep your skin hydrated and minimize dryness.

  • Compression garments for leg veins may be worn for 1-2 weeks, but are not essential.

Vasculaze treatments are typically administered in a series of 3 sessions, scheduled 4-8 weeks apart.
